Demonstorm information & Foreign Rights update

Demonstorm information

Demonstorm is the last book in the Legends of The Raven series, the sixth Raven book in all. It was delivered to Gollancz in November 2003, and has since been edited, revised and is in the hands of a copy editor. Time is tight but at the time of writing, publication is still scheduled for mid-July 2004.

Will it spell the end of The Raven? Well, you’re going to have to read it and find out. As usual, James is giving nothing much away. ‘All I’ll say is that Balaia faces its gravest threat yet but if there’s anyone capable of stepping up to the plate, then it’s The Raven. But even they need some significantly powerful help this time.’

Foreign rights update

There’s been more activity on the foreign rights front with Raven books being translated into two new languages and the continuation of an excellent partnership with top French fantasy publisher, Bragelonne.

• German publishers, Heyne, will publish the Chronicles of The Raven trilogy.

• Spanish publishers, La Factoria de Ideas, will publish Dawnthief.

• French publishers, Bragelonne, will soon publish Elfsorrow.

All publication dates are to be confirmed.
