Legends of the Raven series on the way

Official press release from Orion / Victor Gollancz books:

Following the success of the Chronicles of The Raven, fantasy’s favourite mercenary team will be back in a second three-book series, which will be called Legends of The Raven.

Taking place after the events of Nightchild, the final book in the Chronicles series, the Legends will be written as stand alone-novels that should appeal to new readers and established Raven fans alike. The first in the series is due for publication in July 2002.

James Barclay commented. ‘I’m delighted to have signed another three book deal with Orion/Victor Gollancz to continue writing about The Raven. I’ve been flattered by the early success and (most of!) the reviews of the books so far and hope I can continue in the same vein. It’s great fun writing about The Raven. They take on more life every day and, with the last of the Legends books planned to be the final Raven adventure, they’ll be very hard to leave behind.’

Still, never say never…
