Rhapsody is fun, although the last album, with the "Symphony of the New World" is a bit too pompatic for my taste (can you really hear "In the unholy name of cosmic chaos" without laughing?). But at least it's made me buy the real thing, e.g. a recording of Dvorak's symphony.
But it's really my husband who's into power metal, not me. |

lol, I still remember the look on your face when you first heard them
If you like Folkearth, you'll probably like Folkodia. It's Folkearth's new project. More musicians from more countries, worldwide
oh and currently listening to 'In the court of Jarisleif' by Turisas _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

| Korpiklaani - now that you've mentioned it, yes, I know them. In fact, I've just turned it on. |

Inis Mona is an awesome, excellent song. I've just downloaded their last album, 'Spirit', from iTunes and converted it to MP3 so if anyone fancies a sample gimme a shout and I'll email a track or two. 'Aidu' is a brilliant song as well....
Lou, I'm having the new album. Simple as that! I'm also making a call tomorrow about the possibility of seeing them in April in Leeds as I think Myspace is lying about the tickets being sold out and the chance of seeing these guys along with Ensiferum and Korpiklaani and Tyr, in ONE night, is too much to pass up.
I've also downloaded a couple of new Folkearth tracks, 'Will of Odin' and 'Forlorn Knight'. Both are damned good... the latter's mad! _________________ Pagan Music |

For anyone who likes Folk Metal, Uis Elveti on the above album is just a brilliant song. All should listen. _________________ Pagan Music |

I think we found thee a new favourite band.
But honestly it wouldn't surprise me if the tickets are sold out. I mean come on... those bands on one night. Everyone's going to be thinking the same. That's almost a once in a lifetime opportunity in britain. Only other place it'd happen would be the Pagan festivals in Germany and Norway, so don't be surprised if they're not wrong. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Within Temptation - Grace, from their first album of gothicness, which reaches levels of cheek-pinchable cuteness no other metal band have attained.

Just stuff on youtube, mostly Jimi Hendrix, White Stripes, especially their covers of Joelene and Death Letter, and Muse. All fantastic music to listen to at work, but I can't download music, just view websites, hence youtube. Plus it's cool to watch the live performances. _________________ Ian Fulguirinas(dragonkillernz) |
