Welcome, sir! Aside from what seems an almost unhealthy fixation on the cast of Rome, thou talketh sense! Razz

Hmm...not sure I would trust anyone to make The Raven into a book. It would have to be a really good director who loves The Raven as much as Peter Jackson loves LOTR.

As for cast...
Christopher Judge would make a pretty good Unknown. But I'm also with melvish: I could also see Ray Stevenson playing him (I liked his Dagonet ^^)

Hirad: I could see Sean Bean playing him, or, as Drizzt suggested, Dennis Storhoi. Hugh Jackman...not so sure, but certainly not bad Razz

For Ilkar I can see Johnny Depp, mostly because of the shape of his face (his prominent cheekbones and gods, but I love his eyes!) but also because he's, imo, a really great actor. And seeing him with pointed ears? Hell, yes!! ^^

Hey, that's a good idea. I'm with you on that one.

Oh, and thanks for the welcome!

Also, I can see Kevin McKidd (Lucius Vorenus in Rome) as Thraun. Bulky and just a bit shorter that Ray, he's somewhat the picture I made myself of Thraun.Oh, and he's already blond so no need of a hair dye.

I think you have a good point there. I'd not thought of him before, but i'd have to agree he'd be a good choice. Smile

James Earl Jones, if he can affect a British accent?

You need someone who can annunciate well - dare I suggest 'Agent Elrond', Hugo Weaving?

well in fairness Hugo Weaving did a good enough job as Megatron.

I still say the Christopher Lee. But thats cos I always think of his voice when I hear Sha-Kaan in my head.

Much as I love Hugo Weaving I would have to go with Christopher Lee if I had to choose between the two.

Definitely agree on not having very well known names, and if they are well known, they should only be supporting characters and not "gossip celebrities" (ie, the ones you read about in the gossip columns of magazines all the time). Those ones are the ones that aren't really needed. Think less Vin Diesel level of famous, more Claire Danes level of famous... actors, not faces.
