ahhh didnt realise, my bro has had one in tw for a while now, all the games are chinese tho ... that rules out rpgs , unless I really knuckle down on my mandarin. I will play it safe for the first few titles - Evo soccer ect, thats the best bet. I was gonna buy a 360 but Microsoft are slowly getting me down , indeed I have had 5 xboxs ( kept breaking) hence my switch of alliance.

Microsofts only getting you down now?

I have an xbox and a playstation 2, and I think the xbox is better, but when it comes to the 7th generation consoles, I think PS3 will dominate.

I can't take anything Nintendo puts out seriously, I've grown up with the image of Nintendo being for little kids and it's a bias that's hard to shake.

Its been a dramatic decline since the SNES, I agree entirely , Nintendo users get sick of the way people label it is a kids machine , but they havent helped themselves by ANY of the games and hardware ,and the silly hand controls jeez, it is basically a girls games machine (no offence to girls) or an under 10s machine, call me crazy but id rather play realistic games that require skill and thinking rather than guiding Barry bunny throught he carrot patch via a few ridiculous hand gestures. Call me wierd but surely the whole point of games is that you relax after a days work , not jump around the living room like a kid whos had too much orange juice. The spec of the new machine is poor also , and for god sake who the hell thought to call it a wii ???. Jeez there are too many puns to even start.
All of this said I still think Nintendo are the most innovative and creative company around and, I just wish they would put it to better use.

ps - Dont call me crazy and wierd , that would hurt my feelings so.

Hey Futre4, try Resistance: Fall of Man on PS3 if you're lookig for a good first person shoot up. You can split screen with another player too, either on the missions or in head to head deathmatches.
Bloody awesome game, I thought.

Futre4, I agree with all of that. Nintendo is innovative and creative, but they're also stubborn and stupid (as in, the 64 still using cardtridges?!! No wonder they lost to Sony). If they combined their ability to think outside the square, with their stubbornness (read longevity), with a touch of their considerable, if misused advetising power, then they could easily dominate the gaming world.

Cheers grace I will opt for that first , especially as i was a little let down by Halo 2 and Doom3 . Another thing about Nintendo is without the sales of handhelds and pokemon they would have no doubt gone under by now, I have to wonder If they had pulled out of the console race and made games would all consoles see the benefits of their innovation ?, or would they just sell out to make money like EA?. All that said though the SNES was awsome wasnt it Very Happy .

i quite enjoy playing Wii,

with alot of consoles - the trend is to sit drooling in front on ya telly, oblivious to the world....

the wii is a very sociable (sp?) little bit of machinary... we had a wii competition at work and the bowling was almost like the real thing, had my manager shouting at spelling telling 'em to put backspin on and stuff...

and watching my mate alec throwing a wobbler when he lost the boxing is a moment i treasure.....

it may look a bit amatuer with graphics but the idea is sound!

besides, when you home later you can say to your family:

Today, i played with (Insert Name Here)'s Wii

Maybe someday I'll come over and I could play with you Wii, Ashley. I don't have a Wii but I'd like to play with someone else's.

Man, that's a lot of fun

Ordered Red Faction 1+2 from Amazon and am currently downloading Quake 1-3. For people who've played Red Faction I now have a picture of Masako as my msn display.
