Well done Lou, I've got about 20 pages left to read. Some of us can't pull all nighters and be in a fit state to perform surgery the next day Wink

Maybe give it a week and we can start up a discussion thread on it.

Suffice to say it does indeed rock Cool

Look forward to that then. And to be honest I think i'd worry if I were an animal being operated on by someone who'd just pulled an all-nighter, so it's probably a good thing you didn't attempt it. Razz

Um, well in truth I have on many occasions been up most of the night dealing with emergencies, then had to work the next day as per normal. One night I can deal with, it's when you have night after night it gets too much.

James will soon learn how to function on minimal sleep...... Wink

Drizzt you will have a good weekend as long as Amazon deliver.....

They probably just said that so they could read it before you Razz

I went to Waterstones in Grimsby and looked everywhere. I couldn't see it so I went and asked. The guy comes over and there were three of them sat on the shelf right in front of me Embarassed Laughing

My e-mail from Amazon, received at 06:03 this morning.

We are sorry to report that the following items have been delayed.

James Barclay "A Shout For The Dead: The Ascendants of Estorea Book
2 (Gollancz S.F.)"

Our current estimate is that it will take an additional 4-6 weeks to
obtain these items for you.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Hhhm, chuffed?

Might be quicker to get james to handwrite it from scratch using a quill pen and then to put it in a bottle and throw it into the north sea.

Blimey Malop, that's bad even by Amazon standards Mad , I'd been inclined to tell them where to put it and pick up a copy from Waterstones Very Happy

I say this mainly 'cos last time I looked, Nottingham wasn't all that close to the North Sea Very Happy

none in waterstones for me either and the guy behind the desk was keenly trying to sell me the first one even though logic says I wouldn't be in there to buy the second if I hadn't already acquired the first, even offered me a discount. After much persuasion (20mins to be exact) he ordered me a copy and told me it could take days or weeks to arrive and it would go on the sale to the first person to ask for it. So I'm back to square one so hoping the scifi and anime shop has ordered some (rant provided me with this superb idea) because I really need something to distract me from my revision for the uni exams next week.
in short, I want my Barclay fix and wobetide the rest of Liecester if I don't get it! Rant over.
One day I'll look back at this and laugh joyfully at the thought of my new favourite book, hopefully. At least the Bleach fillers are over!!!
*jumps excitedly*
Happy new year and a merry new-book-reading!!!
