Im talking about characters that drove you to no end of frustration because of how they acted.

For example in Ravensoul when Denser is being, well a prat, i got quite frustrated with him and just wished he would see sense.

But probably the main person that annoyed me was Dystran, he insesent manipulation, specially of Denser, it really got me going.

Again I apologiese if I can't think of many bits outside of Ravensoul and Dawnthief, need to re-read them all.

Excellent. Then my plans worked... welcome to the forums, by the way.

Interesting question. Clearly I love everyone I write about to some extent. But the things some of them do must drive you spare. you could rate them on the 'Thomas Covenant' Scale of character irritation. Y'know, where 1 is 'Meh, whatever' and 10 is 'Just use the &&@*%$£# white magic Covenant!'

Along with Shriker's suggestions, I'll set you off with... Erienne. Play nice.

Thanks James, its an honour to have my question recognised by you Smile

As for Erienne......4. While she did really annoy me at time in the early books she kind of mellowed off later on, certainly in Ravensoul, even though her part wasn't a big one. Although I could be mistaken, as i keep saying, i need to re-read the earlier books because my memory is hazy.

Not at all, Shriker, the pleasure's all mine. Good to have you on board.

You're right on Erienne, I think. I know many found her terribly annoying but for me, it'd be hard to be balanced and rational all the time given the grief she's been put through. Her's was not an easy life.

I wanted to slap Denser several times Razz

And Dystran for that matter.

Also Selik, but Hirad sorted him in the most funny way Laughing

Rolling Eyes Always with the mickey taking, Lizzy. Razz Though I personally preferred Travers' death to Selik's. Probably because I didn't much like Travers. And it was nice and gorey Twisted Evil

Erienne for me too I think and latterly Denser when he went on his mini power trip.
Also, though I think he's only met once, but mentioned much- Baron Pontois.

Dystran for me. He could have been a great ruler, having showed the promise in dealing with Styllian, but never pushed on for me.

And an honourable mention for everyone's favourite barbarian; Hirad has his moments!!!

Oh my word! Don't say that in front of Lizzy. She might get violent.

Just re-reading Shadowheart at the moment, not a book that gets mentioned often. But I've found so far that the most annoying character has been Heryst when he wouldn't overrule Darrick's setence. I understand where he was coming from and enjoy his little "helping him but not helping him" plan, but it just annoyed me that all. As the unknown said, he wasn't the man he used to be.

Oh and Dordover in general, specially in this book, just for being stupid, selfish and controlling Razz

*Note*
Ok maybe saying the whole of Dordover would be a bit harsh to them, it's just Vuldaroq's Smile
