Hi, I'm Helix and I just joined. I have been through a workshop on another site and passed (no-one can post in Approved Poets without going through English 101 first but I have been temporarily banned and I want some professional advice from here Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy ). If this is against the rules, I'll PM a mod to lock it.

All my poetry is now on this thread; be warned, some are quite long and most are macabre and emo.

Gods of Today
1. Vapid Celebs.
2. Stoned Musicians.
3. Fast Cars.
4. Money.
You got it all, you're a modern god.
You got some, you're a demigod or a suckup.
You got none, you're dirt.
The old gods have fallen,
Toppled from Heaven, Nirvana or Olympus by their bastard children.
I do not worship any
1. Vapid celebs are surplus to requirements.
2. Stoned musicians make bad music.
3. Fast cars are a frivolity.
4. Money is a necessity.
Like I said, the old gods have fallen
Replaced by ones that show how shallow we are, mean less and are needed more.
So that's ok, because I never believed in them anyway.

Since nobody actually appears to be reading my poems, I'll make it easier to read them (one poem per post..be prepared for a text wall Smile):
Artist
He sits alone.
The roses cried
As he sits alone.

The cold embraced
Him
As he sits alone.

The roses cried
As he walked alone.

Death welcomed
Him walking
Alone.

History is the Future
"Geography is a subject which holds the key to our future" said one man.
But history holds the keys to knowledge
Without the past, there can be no future.
So I work
Surrounded by the weight of ages
The accumulated knowledge which the future will add to
I'm conscious of the fact that my future becomes my past as I walk through the ages.

^Idk

Death Magnetic
Death has many metaphors
Whirlpool, The Dark, The Devourer Of All, Eternal Night, Eternal Sleep, Nothingness.
It's all wrong,
Death attracts us and repels us, but if we get too close, we stick.
Death Magnetic.
Metallica got something right. :)

note: the smilie is part of the poem

Funeral
There she lay, in her box
My whole life, shattered in one brief instant.
My sister.
Her lips, full as in life
But blue.
Her skin, pale as new snow
And just as cold.
Her eyelids, reddish brown, the colour of dried blood.
He cat-bell choker circling her neck, forever silenced.
Wait...
Those were my lips, that was my choker.
What was happening?
I watched as they committed me to the ground.
Her lips and my lips opened in a soundless scream.
I fainted.
The sound of a weeping mother roused me from my stupor.
Our mother.
My mouth and her mouth twisted in disdain.
We thought, Mama, we're meant for the flies.

Roses
When she cried
Roses fell
When she laughed
Roses fell
When she smiled
Roses fell
When she died
Black roses fell.

Immortal's Death
Until you have lived a thousand times
Until you have seen your lovers die
Until you have lost everything and gained everything
Until you have felt Deaths kiss
Until you have rejected Days embrace
And turned your face to the Dark within
You will never understand evil.
You will never be immortal.

Child
I am lost in
Blue,
Tossed on the
Boundless
Sea
Of his eyes.

Son of Death
He rides
The tide of Death
To his father's side
He cried to his father
He consumed innocents' souls
And smiled
As the blood ran down his face.

Vampire
Love is a bloody rose,
Love is a dead bird,
Love is nonexistant
We delude ourselves
To the fact
We need people...
To feed.

Death
Death is unbeing
Death is unliving
Death is a release
From the drudgery of life's dull mirror,
Reflections of unbeing, unliving.

In the Mirror
In the mirror
In the mirror I am an angel,
In the mirror I am a demon,
In the mirror I am anyone,
Except me.
