I'm going to fly over for the FantasyCon this year Very Happy so I hope I can look forward to meeting multiples of forumites in my couple of weeks in the United Kingdom Very Happy

In fact, Michelle's taking some time off work so we can hang out together, and she's accompanying me to FantasyCon as well Very Happy

Anybody else going(aside from James, of course Razz )

Great news about you flying over Ian, especially after we briefly met in NZ. The bad news from me is that I'm not going to be able to go. I do have a valid excuse though (am gutted that I can't go, with James being GoH) - I'm going to become a father for the first time in mid-September (will also post this in the Good News thread)!

I'd love to be there, as would my dad..however, im watching Lee evans in sheffield the night before with my girlfriend so i don't know if i can get there (and convince the missus to alter our plans)

so probably not Sad

Looks like a definite no for me Sad I've confirmed I won't have enough and plus as well as starting up a business, i'll have moved 170miles further up north not too long beforehand so the trip down, plus tickets on top of other things is going to be a bit much. Crying or Very sad

Does anyone else find it a bit much that they have doubled the day rate for sat?? from ?20 last year ot ?40 this year??

That does seem a bit steep. The trick is to pre - book for the whole weekend at the reduced rate of ?25 at the end of last year's convention. You can cancel it and get a refund up til end of May I think. Of course that is no use for this year, but for the future.... Wink
