Wigwam, I've just read 'Dangerous Waters' by Juliet E McKenna - it's epic fantasy, and well worth investigating. I've recently reviewed it over at the David Gemmell Legend Awards website - see http://gemmellaward.com/notes/Dangerous_Waters_-_Juliet_E_McKenna_Review . It's book one in a trilogy; the second volume, Darkening Skies, has just come out and is in my to-read pile.

Well I am now in to the 4th book of A song of Ice and Fire and know I will have a wait for the last book *sigh*

However it is a brilliant series and Martin is utterly savage with his characters. Very well worth reading. I have them on kindle so they don't look so daunting and I didn't have to go to Ikea to get a new book shelf Laughing

Well I finally got through them all.
I have to admit I found the ending a huge anticlimax. Build up to something and then it just left me thinking "Hunh, wtf?!"

Now I am stuck for a read again.
Where are we up to with Mists of Kathura James?
It's my birthday next week if you want to help a brother out with an advance copy Cool

I concur entirely. I have reread the Gemmel books I own umpteen times.
Deep down it is a toss up in my brain if I would prefer to be Batman or Waylander!

Just finished the last book in the Saga of the Seven Suns, if you don't mind really long sci-fi series, this is good....but long!

Next book will be Circus of the Dammed, the third book in the Anita Blake series.
