Im about to buy a 360 this friday, and will be getting Gears of War with it. I played it over my brothers house and its amazing. the graphics are immense in my opinion, but im still sitting tight for the release of Halo 3 next year. bought a magazine with a review of the new maps; they look stunning.

That's great Mark, I don't think you'll regret it.

I haven't seen much on Halo 3, but I'm hoping it will be just as good if not better than Gears of War. I just can't imagine playing an FPS now without having to take cover! Shocked

Beginning to feel just a little out of date playing Diablo 2 on PC, though it's a great game. I've never had a playstation or similar and most of the new games seem to be designed specifically for them Sad .

In my opinion Diablo 2 is one of the very best games ever made. The PC is a great platform for games.

It's just that my PC is a bit naff. It just about makes it on to the internet!
So, for some people like me, a console is a much cheaper solution for playing games.

Maybe if we ever win the lottery though.... Smile

Indeed Diablo 2 does bang rocks together.

Maybe we should get together sometime for a forumesque game on D2. Anyone interested?

That's a great idea! I'd have to figure out how to get onto the net to play though, I've never done it before.

The PC is and will always be the best platform for games in my opinion. I have never had and will never have a games console, computers are just better, they can do so much more, and give me a mouse in a first person shooter any day, its riddiculous trying to aim with those control pads, even when you get good at it everyone knows that an average player on the computer could beat a really good player on the xbox in the same game if they played computer vs xbox, its much more realistic on pc with a mouse and a keyboard, the possibilities are endless on pc!

Dungeon siege... great impressive scenery but like Manty just said, lacking a bit in the game.

Ry - I believe they're making an adaptor for the XBox 360 so you can use both a mouse and a keyboard.

Personally I prefer using an intuitive control pad to a mouse and keyboard. I guess it depends on the person.

I agree the PC is and probably will remain a great platform for games. And rightly so in my opinion. Smile
