Lou and I attended this little shindig along with about 600 or so other people on Monday night and, one must say, twas bloomin' awesome!!!!

How often can you say that a card of 5 bands contains 5 bands whose music you're a fan of? Great stuff!

Eluviete were brilliant and opened well with some roudy numbers; 'Gaulish War' certainly got the place jumping. Tyr were next and did well, along with telling everyone where the bar was; 'Hail to the Hammer' went down well - not least with their bass guitarist who loved the toffee hammers on show in the mosh pit. Moonsorrow came next and took the place over with a really high octane set....

... and then came Korpiklaani. My god these guys were brilliant - I'm not given to singing and dancing, especially sober, but I was bouncing and singing to these chaps within three lines of the first number. Outstanding stuff - if anyone gets a chance to see them live, do so.

Then came Ensiferum with some harder battle metal to finish the night off and finish it they did, in grand style. Petri had a damned good time playing to the crowd.

All in all, a brilliant night made even better by my boss's tomtom which actually got us there!! Mwahahahah!!!!

*sings* Happy little, happy little, happy little boozer, happy little, happy little, happy little boozer...
