Ipswich are apparently in for a loan move for David Nugent. Could be a very good signing if we can get him to full fitness as quickly as possible Very Happy

A very good move, I think. We're creating and wasting a lot of chances and Nugent would be a fine addition to the forward line. I still worry about our defence though. We havea decent first choice back four but very little in reserve.

Good to see us beginning to win away from home. If we can get a point from Stoke tomorrow I might even start wondering if we can sneak into the top two...

Unfortunately not... Sad I'm still holding onto the hope of us being good enough for a play off spot though.

Oh well, there's always next season... Very Happy

Surprised to see Billy Clarke on the transfer list though Confused It wasn't so long ago that he was the 'next big thing'...

Indeed there is. In the end, not good enough but I think we'll be very strong next season. I was surprised about Billy Clarke too. i think he might be a bit slight, like Dan Bowditch, and would struggle at a higher level because he hasn't the skill or touch to compensate.

I thought they would have at least given him another season to bulk up a bit but if he wasn't getting the games at Falkirk (which I heard he wasn't) then maybe Jim thought it was time to move him on. There's a lot of players on the transfer list and I'm wondering if this is a result of Jim knowing how much money he will be given to spend... I think we'll certainly be a tough nut to crack next season Very Happy

West Brom will save us from him.

Thank you, Mogga.

*Thanks both God and Mogga*

I'm never 100% about old players coming back for a second spell but I think Richard Wright would be a good call. Hope we get him Very Happy

So do I. he should never have left. His departure was the central factor in our relegation, I think.

Not all returness do that well. Miller has been disappointing but Pablo has been largely superb.

We hsould probably resign Arnold Muhren. Bet he can still cross a ball better than most playing in the english leagues...

Any thoughts on which forwards we should be looking at or do you reckon we're ok with what we have?

Tough question. Someone quick in the Darren Bent mould. Both Counago and Lee are good at hold up and lay off but to have someone with the pace to capitalise ought to be a priority. Gawd knows who's available. Got any names you fancy?

Laughing I used to like him when he played for Newcastle... then again we weren't exactly playing too well when he was with us. Perhaps there's something in that comment afterall.

I don't know... Embarassed I liked the sound of the Barcelona 'B' man (can't remember his name though) and Charisteas sounds like the sort of guy we should be aiming for (although I'm not sure if that will come off though). More concerned about the prospect of Walters leaving at the mo'... Sad
