All right folks, I won't keep you in suspense any longer.

The Raven are back for a seventh adventure. It is not book four of the Legends, it is not a prequel. It is a stand-alone, last hurrah for our favourite band of mercenary-turned-world-savers.

The story is set ten years after the events of Demonstorm (or to be exact, five years after the last chapter of Demonstorm).

I'm not saying who will be there and who won't but look out for a few old faves, though not perhaps as you might expect. You'll be glad to know I won't be breaking any rules... so there is no resurrection, nor is there rebirth.

Let's just say that in the multi-dimensional world of which Balaia is one very small part, love and honour can transcend the borders of life and death. And when a problem occurs that threatens everyone... the living, the dead, the dragons and even the demons, well, someone's got to do something.

Ladies and Gentlemen, coming in July 2008, I give you:

Ravensoul

AAAAAAAAAAAH!

*pants*

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

OK, i've given up trying not to be too lazy to read the Ascendents of Estoria books, but the Raven have my undying reader-loyalty.

AAAAAAAAAAAH!

This is extreemly good news!

I enjoyed both of the Ascendent's books but the Raven have a unique quality - and pace. Although I would recomend both the Ascendent books to anyone who enjoys heroic fantasty.

I am very much looking forward to the return of the Unknown, et al.

If James includes the Raven line up from Elfsorrow, (somehow) that would fantasic as that 'Raven' is my personal fravoriate.

Looking forward with very baited breath, any teasers you would like to send our way James, will be very much appreciated! - I know fans are just wanting!

On a different note, having just read the latest entry in Jame's bibliography I am very touched by his testiment to David Gemmell. David was an excellent author who entire calalogue I have almost read, James was clearly a good friend.
I am moved by the sentiment and look forward to Jame's new work in the tradition of Mr Gemmell - strong characters you can belive in, moral under pinning and plently of action.

Excellent.
