What a great film. i watched last night and totally enjoyed it!

its not your typical Blade/vampire film but the fx were great and the story, whilst a tad slow in places was cool.

roll on "Daywatch" when it comes out.

Manty - zoned out on Nightwatch!

Oh dear... got to disagree with you Manty. I waited for months for it to come out on DVD (local cinema wasn't showing it - same as they're not showing Pan's Labyrinth. Bugger), bought it for about ?17, watched it and thought it was awful.

I thought it was alright actually, i like the idea of two opposing films. If i remember correctly there will be a third to wrap it up. Seems obvious but i like to sound knowledgeable Smile

You're right, it's meant to be a trilogy. Unfortunately... the books are meant to be really good however... shame the film was a large, steaming, glistening turd. Confused

I was going to watch this on Film 4 the other day.
Should I bother or not? Opinion seems very divided. Is it as poor as Underworld Evolution? or Blade Trinity for that matter? Confused

It's neither and it's worse than both.

It has its own story but there's not enough action and the dialogue between sequences is crap. And I mean crap. Sad

its a russian film so don't expect great dialogue. The film has had some good reviews, so i've been told, and i enjoyed it. the FX were cool and the whole social set up between the "Dark Others" and "Light Others" is well thought out. Where else would you get a place where you neighbour was a vampire, a "Dark Other" and you a "Light Other" yet you don't battle.

No its not blade or even close to it but a lot of it is subtle twistings of popular views that you don't get the high flying marshal arts, the hundred million dollar effects or even big name stars make this film good.
