Ok guys, you've read James' announcement. After you've picked yourself up from the floor and stopped grining, what do we think is going to happen? According to Amazon, always reliable and entirely correct, the synopsis is as follows:

Synopsis
The unknown warrior thought his days with the Raven were long behind him, until Hirad Coldheart, dead for ten years knocks on his door ...The dead are not at rest. Something has travelled from far beyond the dimension which has Balaia and Calaius at its heart. It feeds off Manna. And without Manna all of Balaia and the spirit realms that surround it will collapse into nothing taking the living and the spirits of the dead with it into the void. This new threat cannot be reasoned with, it is heedless to threats or entreaties. Ethereal and so advanced it barely registers its prey as sentient it is bringing doom with it. Balaia, barely recovered from the demon onslaught is thrown into chaos as the dead walk the streets and hope fails. It is left to the Raven, both dead and alive to take their courage and their faith in each other into the spirit realms for one last fight. James Barclayt has returned to the landmark series that made his name - this is the book that all his fans will have been waiting for.

Well, it's obviously going to hit the fan. Which is good. The Raven are always at their best during such times..!! So, predictions??

I hope so, I missed the banter between Hirad and Ilkar! I'm not sure how much good humour will be in them as they're both now dead.... but... well, let's face it, if anyone's going to take the mickey out of Hirad for being dead, it's Ilkar. Laughing

I wonder how Denser has progressed in ten years. He's not mentioned in the synopsis... hmmm.... well, only a year to wait. *stares at calendar*

Good old amazon. Always getitng it right... up to a point.

I can guarantee you that any surviving Raven characters, Tai Gethen and Al Arynaar elves and Barons will be there when you open the pages. Again, perhaps in unexpected ways, but you have to start somewhere.

I plan to offer more teasers as the months go by. This time next year folks... I hope it lives up to your expectations.

Who else will we see, though? Could the likes of Will be back? Sirendor? Sha-Kaan?

Dude, I don't care. Selik's back - I've now got the happiest fiance this side of reality!! Very Happy

But, yes, more Sirendor would be cool. Will Begman dying again could be good, if only to spite Paul... Twisted Evil

Grrr, just remember James said some of the characters have changed.

Maybe Selik has gone camp and is on tour with a ballet company Razz

But yey, bring back Will even if he does have to die again. Saving the Raven could be a career.

Hmmm... maybe Selik kills Will.... *rubs chin*

I've just thought - what about the Wesmen? It'd be cool to see them back again, I wonder if Tessaya's still the imposing chap he was?

I'm looking forward to seeing how magic has changed with the colleges in complete chaos at the end of demonstorm, I can't wait to see what has happened to balaia and who is in power, I reckon denser could be a hugely important person in balaia now...

Ahh, dear Paul I fear your jealousy of Selik's superiority to Will has not deminished in recent times. Oh well, when Selik kicks ass again, you shall take back everything you've said about him. Razz
