So out of all the characters in the Raven books who do you reckon is the most lethal singlehanded ??

Hirad is good but can rush in and get wounded as a result.

My money would be on Auum because he has stealth and strength. He could sneak up on any mage.

Also Thraun as a wolf is pretty deadly but a well aimed axe/sword.....

As for the mages would Styliann beat Ilkar or Denser? I reckon he could.

(not counting the dragons in this btw)

I vote for Will.

Not only can he sneak up and kill but he doesn't look a threat so can attack suddenly and with surprise.

And you didn't say anything about who could survive the longest Razz

I was going to say Will aswel. He's the deadliest in melee i reckon.

Perhaps Denser because he has a stronger mana capacity after the casting of Dawnthief (if im not mistaken?)

I'm amazed nobody's mentioned The Unknown - if I was in a spot of bother I'd quite like to have someone built like a brick toilet standing in front of me! Very Happy

I guess he can be a bit moody but when he's in "lethal" mood he's totally unstoppable!

Members of The Raven only, you'd have to say 'The Unknown'; other characters - 'Auum', hands down.

Naah, the Unknown has far too much angst to be deadly, he'd worry about the whole violence thing far too much Very Happy

Denser does become a very efficient spell caster after he casts Dawnthief. But he does not have the ruthlessness of Styliann and I would expect the old, charred Lord of the Mount to beat him. Hand to hand, no one is faster than Auum.

I have a top three:

Auum - because you will barely even see what hits you.
The Unknown - because you see exactly what is about to hit you and still can't do anything about it.
Erienne - because anyone with that much power and perpetually a hair-trigger pull from insanity is going to be very, very dangerous indeed.

Ha!, love the lines about the Unknown and Erienne.

I still think Styliann at Parve was unstoppable as a mage. (although obviously not if up against Erienne with The One in her)

I'd say Styliann and Auum, but I do like Tk's reasoning for Ilkar. Razz

Styllian and Auum for me too, I think.

Surprised there hasn't been a shout from a certain forum member for Selik! Wink After all, he is pretty good at being ruthless for most of the series...
