Decided to start 'Blood Tears' by Raven Dane. I've been drawn in since page one, so i'd say it's a damn good read so far. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Just finished Sword in the Storm by David Gemmell. Excellent! The first, but definately not the last, of his books that I've read, due to James' glowing recommendation.
Could my timing be more lousy..? _________________ Taking off is optional, landing is mandatory. |

Not to worry, there's plenty of his work out there. You'll have to get around to meeting Druss - you'll be calling everyone 'laddie' and asking for an axe for Xmas..! _________________ Pagan Music |

I didn't realise that wasn't the beginning! Sword in the Storm is the first of the Rigante series isn't it? _________________ Taking off is optional, landing is mandatory. |

Just finished Dead Air - very interesting ending, with a good laugh or two, but not worth reading the whole book to get through really, bit of an anti-climax I thought.
Still got name of the rose out of the original three starting I am legend by Richard Matheson and Timbuktu by paul auster soon. _________________ Come see me at my other spot locations:

I considered I am Legend, but wasn't sure on spending the money, so I didn't bother, but from everything that's been said about it, the book, Hey Nostradamus seems pretty cool. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

Very glad you've enjoyed Dave Gemmell, Grace. Read more... more I tell you. The first Drenai books, Legend.Waylander, King Beyond the Gate... all excellent. Jon Shannow... awesome IMO. And then there's Troy. Oh yes.
Meanwhile, I'm reading off genre. The Black Angel by John Connolly. Very good in its early stages... _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

I've just finished Dispossession by Chaz Brenchley - a contemporary horror, I think it's termed. It has a fallen angel, a vicious mobster and a lawyer with amnesia. Well worth a read. _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

Way to go Thraun!
Still reading Cleric Quintet, highly amusing. Just had a dwarf charge through a sealed door only to find there's a long drop waiting. So as he's falling one chapter ends with him shouting "I can see the grou-!" _________________ Pagan Music |

I think, those of us who have them, that re-reading the Drizzt books is something that just has to be done every now and then.
Still reading the Complete Word and the Void by Terry Brooks. |
