Read it, liked it. The Keys to the Kingdom series just doesn't have the same spark as the Sabriel books did. The world seems somehow thinner.
I've finished the GRRM book and can't get another for several days at least. Noooooo! I've just realised that because of Seamanship I have no Elgin leave tomorrow so will have to pay the outrageousness of amazon postage to get it. *cursescursescurses* _________________ Taking off is optional, landing is mandatory. |

When I'm depressed I tend to read depressing book, so that it gets even worse, so I started Anne Frank's diary. But now I'm feeling much better (my research-paper is finished), so I'm thinking about reading something else. But as I've enough of English books, crime-story, historic novels and anything related to monks in the last weeks and don't want to read anything about one of these topics that reduces my pile of unread books from about 50 to approximately 15-20, and as somehow I also don't want to read any Fantasy-booksthere should be 6-7 left . _________________ The question that sometimes drives me hazy: Am I, or the others crazy?

I'm reading some book by some guy. I'll find out soon. I do remember looking and it was only published in 2006, so it's pretty new. I remember I got Dawnthief when it was first published too so maybe I'll get lucky twice _________________ Ian Fulguirinas(dragonkillernz) |

I wish you well Mark, I stumbled through Gardens of the Moon without ever caring for the story or any of the characters and Deadhouse Gates is staring at me accusingly from the bookshelf
I'm a bit like Drizzt, I will read them one day but as I never got into Gardens of the Moon I keep putting the fateful moment off! _________________ "Constant Vigilance!" |

There's a growing number of books in that category for me. Erikson's stuff, Mark Chadbourn's books, Stan Nicholls works... and, one day, I swear I will finish the second chronicles of Thomas Covenant. I'll be old and grey by then.... _________________ Pagan Music |

started "Eyes of God" last night by John Marco. His Tyrants and Kings Trilogy was great so here's hoping... |

Currently reading a factual book, The Occult by Colin Wilson. Very interesting, not about how to be a witch, but about the history of the paranormal and stuff. Takes some reading mind.
Also got the second Strangehaven graphic for light relief _________________

Ok, well the book is The Blade Itself, by Joe Abercrombie. I'm really enjoying it. Before that, I read Digital Fortress by Dan Brown, and before that Hitler: Military Commander (after Grace pointed out that he was a vegetarian, I saw that book and I thought I'd read it). All pretty good books in their own way, but only The Blade Itself is looking like it might be something truly great. It really reminds me of Dawnthief in a way. _________________ Ian Fulguirinas(dragonkillernz) |

It's not difficult to get into so you may actually get throught the whole thing. I did.
