errr..the match with Bury could be called off, as Bury fielded an inelligable player (one on loan who had not got written permission to play for bury in a cup game)
if this is upheld as a complaint Ipswich get a by into the next round and bury get kicked out. |

That would be a real shame. It was a genuine mistake as far as I can see. A slap on the wrists is surely enough.
I'd hate us to go through on some sort of technicality. FA Cup 3rd round day is one of the greats in English football. Excluding Bury would let down their fans and ours.

It's true. The word has just come down from on high (F.A. HQ)
We've been chucked out, and Chester reinstated, unless our appeal on the 28th is successful. Although I can't see how it can be.
Gods, I'm depressed now. You have no idea how much I was looking forward to a day out on the 6th.

Me too! A case of the punishment being way in excess of the crime if you ask me, James had the balance about right above - you'll just have to re-decorate a room instead! _________________ "Constant Vigilance!" |

Bugger.
I was right, the cynical bastards at the FA only let us have the appeal so they could avoid the cheap bad press before Xmas.

it just shows honesty is overrated as Bury fessed up to it, otherwise the FA would never have known. |
