I suppose it'd be sub-sectioned with Al-Drechar, Al-Arynaar, Tai-Gethen and so forth... hmmm, the founder of the Tai-Gethen would be interesting to know about! _________________ Pagan Music |

Err. Well. The thing is [shuffles feet]... gosh look at that lovely cloud. Um, heavens. Not as such, no.
Have to be honest, what with the new arrival imminent, this may be delayed further than I wanted but please don't stop making suggestions. I will do it but have to concentrate on core stuff for he time being (new books and all that). _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' I always think with this sort of book the more art work the better, you want character pictures, maps, pictures of where the mages work, places of interest, tribal markings for the different elves intheir own land sorry my memory for what things are called is slipping here, but the animals that hunt with the elves lets have a piccy of them etc...
really good art work can go a long way in a book like this. Now im not a disc world fan but some of the stuff [produced for discworld is excellent, colourful great art and great supporting text. (if a little cartoony) |

Good news folks, is that the total revamp of the Raven Gazetteer has reached the to do list. It isn't going to be a quick job but it IS going to be done sometime this year or early next.
So, I want to thank everyone hugely for their input so far and to say please carry on making suggestions. The new site will be far more functional in terms of the information it carries and will probably be in a blog format to allow me to update and add more quickly. More info as I get it.
Good shout on the fan art, Mark. On a linked subject, I'm working with a final year student artist at the moment. She's produced some beautiful pieces - dragons, weapons and a familiar. I'll ask her if I can post the odd piece up here for you all to talk about. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' Scheduled to be internet-only but you never know...I might be able to persuade a small publisher to do a short run of a papery thing tied up with string. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

More information on the dude who made the Dawnthief spell. Can't remember his name but he was Dordovan with four-college understanding.
Also re:magic; why is so difficult to make new spells? I remember when reading battle scenes, I'd be thinking, "why can't they blend FlameOrbs with ForceCones to do more damage?" or in Demonstorm "why can't weapons be made into ColdRoom artifacts so that they can do damage?" |
