Went to an open-air concert today. The first band to play was Żywiołak - http://www.myspace.com/zywiolak - a Polish folk-metal band (although they themselves say they play "biometal"). They are really good, their music and lyrics are deeply rooted in Polish tradition (alas, their lyrics are predominantly in Polish) but with a modern twist. I think you should check them out, Selik.
Then there came another Polish band, "At the lake". They were decent but nothing more. If they weren't Polish, I would say they are yet another Scandinavian symphonic metal band with female vocals. _________________

Yay! Thanks for the recommendation. I need something to take my mind off the fact i'm a medical phenomenon and should be in a coma by now
Will go check them out and i've no problem with the lyrics being Polish. Granted i'll not understand a word, but at least i'll enjoy it. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

The not-too-great sounds of my little boy, who is clearly teething, judging by his hot cheek, poor little whimpering, and general bad mood! _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

I've been listening to some Song of Ice and Fire podcasts, which are really quite interesting. And also quite high up on the geek quotient! _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |
