I am of course referring to the retirement of Micheal Schumacher from F1. And what a career it was. Like him or hate him he was a very gifted driver.

It is a shame that he is retiring, there has never been a year in my life where Michael Schumacher hasnt been involved in the F1, I don't think it will be quite the same without him, even though I prefer some of the other drivers..

Not the biggest fan of the sport, but I did enjoy watching the clips of his sportingly ramming other drivers off the track when he felt the need. Very Happy

Have to say i'm really not sorry to see him go, and must admit to feeling pretty good with his position of 4th, in his last race Twisted Evil

lol, what a great image. And yeah, I suppose you have a point, Parm. But as you say, there are still other areas in his technique that can be knocked Twisted Evil

Can't say I ever really liked the bloke, but he's gonna be up there with the greats of the sport.

Used to be a massive F1 fan, went to many races all over Europe following Johnny Herbert (ex Schumacher team mate) but it has become very monotonous of late.

People will forget about the bad things Schumi did and most, if not all of the records he set will never be broken thus he will be remembered as one of the all time greats.

If you want to see proper racing watch MotoGP where Valentino Rossi is beating all before him with style, good grace and a massive grin on his face! Very Happy

Rossi kicks ass! Actually since we're on the topic of F1, I can proudly say that my 4yr old nephew can pick out from a long list of sportsmen who does and who doesn't drive a racing car.
He can also do exactly the same for motorcycles too.

I never really understood what's the fascination of a sport in which men are driving around in a circle four hours Confused . Apart from that Schumacher is one of the least pleasant sportsmen. I never liked him.
