or should that be (with apologies to the BFS Magazine) The Blatherings of Barclay 2!

The secret's out, the schedule's announced (look: http://www.fantasycon.org.uk/program.html) , and I guess that means that I can now say that I will be greatly honoured to grill Mr James Barclay esq. at FantasyCon 2008 as he will be Guest of Honour on the 20th September.

I have been working on deviously fiendish questions for a while now, BUT I realise that some people may have questions they week to seek the answer for.

So: bearing in mind that it may not get asked (or I may have it in the list already!), and also that I don't want James to know the questions (yet), if you would like to send me a message with your requests and I'll see what I can do. More grist for the Horrible Hat of Hobbit...

I will add though that I haven't yet seen Vault, nor Ravensoul, though I'm sure they'll be appearing in there at some point...

Best

Mark

Well that would make it fun, Paul. The only problem with it, I suspect, would be that I would have a GREAT time, but others might not quite understand what I'm saying....

..but I like the idea! Laughing

I have one for you...

Just how did you get to be so damned handsome, James?

By the way, Vault of Deeds will be available at FCon. Ravensoul will not.

LOL.

That one was in the list, James!

Or how about 'With your dashing good looks and infinite charm, how on earth do you find time to be a writer?' Very Happy

"Or motivation"

I know if I had dashing good looks and infinite charm, I'd probably not do anything of use Razz

Unfortunately, I have mediocre good looks combined with limited, sporadic charm. Razz

I'm sure that's not the case. Guess we'll soon see, Ian. Smile

How about some maths questions?

If you have 3 Raven and 150 demons with a doorway measuring 6ft by 2ft how many dead demons will it take to block the doorway?

Or,

If an Ascendant can turn 10 square metres of mud into dry soil at the rate of 1 square metre per minute how many minutes would it take to dry out my garden?

Shocked I think at this point I'd start crying, but then I'm not the most intelligent person when it comes to maths.

Very good, Malop. Very Happy

If things get slack, Mark, we can start doing jokes.

Like... how many Black Wings does it take to change a light bulb?

Answer, all of them. One to change the light bulb and the rest to go on a murderous rampage accusing the light bulb of being evil magic.
