Finished it last night and boy was the ending depressing. I know Joe has always gone for the real life approach to the fantasy genre, but geezzz! So great battle scenes and lots of twists, but a rather downbeat ending.

I liked the ending, Well I liked the whole series to be honest, the sex scene in book 2 was the most realistic I've ever read, might be revealing too much about myself saying that, but it had me laughing all the same.
