Only a month and a bit and they should be making the announcement. Smile

I am SO excited.

i love nightwish. in an obsssessive fashion.

i want to touch emppu's hair.

Empuu's an awesome guitarist. Have to say though, i'd rather meet Tuomas Very Happy

true, he's the glue of the band and i worship him as a keybaordist/songwriter.

but emmpus hair is so damn pretty!

there isn't an eight year old in the world who wouldn't want to braid his hair, given the chance.

I like the fact they're keeping her identity a secret till the album's out. And of course the new single 'Eva' out 30th May, I believe..... Drizzt?

For those interested, there're four samples from Nightwish's new album. It's going to be awesome. Very different voice to Tarja, but I think it complements the music really well.

7 Hours to the Wolves sounds great!!

Also a sample of Eva
I really liked it, it's different to Tarja, but it's also quite good (although it's difficult to say after 30 seconds ^^)

7 hours to the Wolves does give a really good example of how good a singer she is.

shes not a soprano. *sulks*. now where in metal can i turn for a good soprano?

she's not even power, shes a bloody pop singer. And sounds rather like andrea from lunatica.

Eva's not bad. Of all the new melodic metal singles out at the mo Ghost opera is still my favourite, sonata arctica's paid in full probably trumps eva, but I'm more interested in nightwish period.

She doesn't have to be a trained soprano to be good. Tuomas said they weren't necessarily going to get an opera or soprano singer.

I don't think it really matters. It's whether or not her voice suits the songs and the lyrics that matters. I doubt Tuomas would choose her from all the thousands of entrants if she weren't talented, and that she is. Soprano or not.
