Bought this last week and Lou and I have both been enjoying it. If anyone remembers a TV show from BBC2 called Time Commanders then imagine this a dumbed down version of that and you'll kow what it's about.

For those who don't, it's a basic RTS game where you take charge of a Roman army and slowly build it up through battles and promotion etc. The game takes you on a trip through Roman history and is endorsed by the History Channel. Basically, from start to finish, the game shows you how Rome started from taming the local territories surrounding Rome through to battling Carthage in North Africa and beyond. The more battles you win, the more history is revealed to you. It's good fun and you can actually learn quite a bit.

And there's something satisfying about watching your 6 heavy cavalry regiments plough into the enemy before wheeling away and ploughing in again... Twisted Evil
