It could be happening. Terry Brooks has sold the rights to Warner Bros... most likely seems to be 'Elfstones of Shannara' as they also bought a script to that. No actors or anything attached, yet.

Elftsones would, it's one of the better early ones and is fairly original. 'Sword of Shannara' is, for the first two-thirds, very similar to Lord of the Rings so you can almost guarantee it'd flop commercially because of that. If not Elftsones, that'd leave 'Wishsong' which would be absolutely massive and, to be honest, it'd make more sense to make Elfstones before Wishsong so people could meet Allanon. What they would have to do is get the casting of Allanon right or they'd face a massive fan backlash.

Or, maybe, just maybe, they'll take the second series - where we do meet Walker Boh - and make that into a movie or two. It could be done, since 3 of the four books run concurrently with the 4th being a conclusion to all three before it.

A lot of what's after that is a bit cack compared to what came before and not great fodder for movies. So, just watch them make 'High Druid' or something to prove me utterly wrong... Razz

Walker I believe is the third? I'm not 100%. I started Shannara with that particular series, not knowing at the time that there were any before it, so i'm not much up on the number of books or series before Walker came in.

There are four books in the first series (a trilogy and a prequel) anf then in the series after that, Walker comes in and his main book is 'Druid of Shannara'. Very Happy

I'm not celebrating till I see it on screen and even then I'd reserve judgement on their choice of casting till the end. Not that i'm cynical of course Rolling Eyes
