I can't believe I forgot that programme! That was ace. Living in a Lighthouse suddenly became so much more appealing. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

It was such a good show, wasn't it? I believe Channel Five run it on Sunday mornings (for those of you of a certain disposition, Sunday does actually have a morning you know... ) _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

Don't Listen!! Snday mornings are fictional and not real!! The day begins at 11am!!!
Max,shame on you! really.
I bought thundercats on dvd yesterday. It still kicks rectum! Apart from the odd dodgy line here and there from Tigra. But he was always a little bit strange. _________________ "Right so we're going to steal a bomb that can be remote detonated, take it back to our base and then huddle around it? I watched a documentary last night about Small Films, the guys who made Bagpus, The Clangers and Ivor the Engine. Brilliant, as they were all made by two guys with a stable for a studio. They made all the set and characters themselves using mecanno, bluetack, and bits and bobs. They scripted it all themselves. They made up electrical stuff like rheostats and things as they needed for any effects, and the film was all shot using a clicker device made up on a piece of old wood with a switch taped to it with gaffer tape.
So basically some of the UK's iconic TV programmes for children were made by two chaps and their junk and imagination. Not a child psychologist in site, fab _________________

How many people here watched Look and read when they were at school? Or should I say ask how many had to watch it actually at school?
I've just found a few episodes of Dark Towers on youtube incidentally. It's kind of amusing to go back and watch it now... _________________ "Right so we're going to steal a bomb that can be remote detonated, take it back to our base and then huddle around it? That sounds like a great plan." |

Me! Wasn't that also the one with Magic Pencil? There was Cats Eyes as well. And I vaguely remember a program where kids got sent through their playground painting of a dragon to a place called 'Pelemar'. There was a dodgy song about saving this land which still randomly bugs me now. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |
