Actually, I reckon Newcastle have done pretty well this season given an injury list that really does make the eyes water. Heard Glen Roeder saying that he'd not yet been able to select Michael Owen because of injury. And he's one of ten regulars missing. It hurts. It would hurt any team.
As for the poll question, I loved it. Nothing like delusional footie fans, eh? And at last count, there were two of you. Strength. _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

You're going home in St John's Ambulance..!
My house got utterly destroyed at Interhouse football on sunday. But that was the boys, so what do you expect? Should have let us girls play. _________________ Taking off is optional, landing is mandatory. |

You will all eat your words when we make a comeback
But it's not like we've lost a huge number of matches. It's probably one of the worst examples I could use, but... Grimsby Town ( ) lost nine consecutive matches this season.
If you can ignore the difference in the tables between the teams and compare the two, at least we can say that with all that injury, we've not lost so many consecutive games as Grimsby!! _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

True, and it's just SO long since we won our last European trophy, right?!
Four English clubs have won European trophies this century:
Liverpool - UEFA Cup (2001)
Liverpool - European Super Cup (2001)
Liverpool - European Cup (2005)
Liverpool - European Super Cup (2005)
However, I'm very keen to see how Newcastle do with Owen and Martins in the team. Should be good to watch next season, especially if Parker continues playing well. _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |

The Super Cup and Uefa Cup are mickey mouse tournaments. They don't mean anything. _________________ Excuse me, is your refrigerator running? Because if it is, it probably runs like you - very homosexually - Peter Griffin |

Hmmm , but to dream is to be alive , If you rest on former glories then who do we say is the best team around??, where do you draw the line?, there are many teams languishing in the lower leagues with great statistics under their achievements belt. For me looking to when the injury list ends and perhaps dreaming of an elusive uefa cup keeps me on edge on a saturday afternoon or indeed on a midweek trip to belgium ...oh and thanks Selik our two votes make it slighly less like the only guy that voted was the guy that set up the poll _________________ I always knew Chang was Chinese Intelligence.

arsenal out and i believe oxford could've done a better job than them. btw newcastle have a football team? I'm sure they don't, never heard of them anyway... maybe they're not good enough to make it in the papers. _________________ "Rhyming monkeys are rarer!" |
