This one's a tough one to pin down, as there are so many good films.
For me though I think it'd have to be The Matrix closely followed by The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
I also really love the classics, like Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window and Vertigo.

Terminator - OK by todays standards the special effects are naff but for pure edge of seat tension it has no equal! _________________ "Constant Vigilance!" |

Hm, I really liked The lord of the rings-movies, but it's difficult to decide wich one's the best , I'd say The two towers.
I also LOVE 'What's up doc?' , that's a quite old one .
Apart from that, From Hell, Sleepy Hollow, Chocolat, Pirates of the Carribbean (Yes, I'm a Johnny Depp-Fan ), and also Das Wunder von Bern (so sad *sniff* ) and Der Schuh des Manitu _________________ The question that sometimes drives me hazy: Am I, or the others crazy?

The Crow beyond any shadow of a doubt. Closely followed by Lotr, and the original holy trilogy (A new hope, Empire strikes back and return of the jedi) _________________ "Right so we're going to steal a bomb that can be remote detonated, take it back to our base and then huddle around it? I loved The Crow, but for some reason it hasn't really registered as a favourite. I think I preferred the original Graphic Novel more tbh. _________________ "I sit on my arse, not my head." - Baron Gresse. |

I find it hard to pick a favourite.
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid was on today, that's a great film. _________________

Oh boy, now here's a tough question!
Lord of the Rings trilogy is an easy pick, the anime movie 'Laputa' may not be so obvious... _________________ Pagan Music |

I've got a few.
Black Hawk Down, A Bridge Too Far (on as I type), Bladerunner and Gladiator.
Also a big fan of Ealing Comedies and anything with Terry Thomas in it (hence the avatar).
Regards

Yep I'll agree with that. Bladerunner is a good film, as is Black Hawk Down and a Bridge too far.
I seriously can't pick an overall favourite. For comedy, Some Like it Hot always makes me laugh, mainly for the last scene which is priceless imo.
But again it's not necessarily my favourite comedy. Too many to choose from. _________________

Bladerunner is such a classic film. It's so tough to choose a favourite.
Bladerunner is definitely up there with the best though. _________________ "Man, all this prolonged exposure to radiation is making me thirsty." |

I'm with Jovial.
The Terminator.
Cost $6m to make and was a fabulously dark, bleak movie with absolutely no let up. The slo-mo scene in the nightclub still makes me shiver when I watch it. And it doesn't have a Hollywood ending either. Great film making from a great film maker.
After that... Fellowship of the Ring, Shawshank Redemption, ET (still makes me well-up). _________________ 'A human with a hand outstretched in friendship carries the fangs of a taipan in his palm.' A TaiGethen saying. |

Star Wars (Episodes 4-6), although I like Empire most
LOTR - not sure which of the three I like most
The Terminator's a good call - dark, atmospheric, Arnie playing a role well! _________________ If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. |
