'The Terror' by Dan Simmons.

Everyone should red this book. Brilliantly described historical fiction about two ships trapped in the arctic ice in the early 1800s... and there is a creature out there, hunting.

The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi, an undefeated Samurai who retreated to a cave back in 1643 to write the book which is a manifesto on swordsmanship, strategy and varying other aspects of martial arts.

Hi David, welcome
It’s a bit quiet on here now, in the days of social media
But ask any questions and we’ll see if we can help

I'm currently reading the third book in the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. I'm not that far in, but I absolutely loved the first 2 so I have no doubt this one will be great too. Any Sanderson fans in here?
