It's not my toys you need to kidnap, more my editor's...

Actually, I remain unconvinced about the early days stuff as novels. I did wonder about a series of short stories (or indeed quite long stories) but haven't taken the idea further just yet.

Are you angling for the whole ten years?

Not really. The origin-origins:
The coming together of the various characters to form the Raven and how some insight into how they went from individuals to a group to a very very famous group. They have such disparate origins - what brought them into contact let alone together?
Razz

(I am convinced you have already half-promised me a short-story about the Garonin wars! You can let your Editor know that I am happy to waive most of the fee for getting to you do this - the books will mostly be reward enough Razz )

Interesting. I'm most interested in Erienne and how the whole Raven was formed.

Laughing Hello Wigwam glad to see u log in too. yea I would like to see a story abt how the Raven got formed. Esp how Hirad met Ilkar, hahaha. there was a quote somewhere that Rebraal said Ilkar didn't wish to meet any humans as that was his loneliest decision and he would walk the earth long past their deaths.

So poignant, which is true too. Yet Ilkar couldn't hold back his affection for them eh? Razz And I did wonder what exactly happened in his family before he went to Julatsa.

If we pester James enough with such inrefutably reasoned arguments I cannot see his irrational resistance doing anything but crumbling like the towers of Julatsa.

Have our paths crossed elsewhere? (wigwam)

Smile No I didn't mean that we met before, i mean that very few members log in here recently to talk, so it's nice to see a new reply. Don't worry. The previous posts were back in 2003 and 05 that long. Which installments did you like most?

To James wahahaha! glad that willpower is less resistant now. Razz

The one line that bangs around my head (and which I can't quite remember now I want to type it - D'OH!) Embarassed
is the bit when the army is coming back out of the forest and it says something "wreathed in unimaginably complex spells...etc"

I thought this book was James at his best tbh. Action, dragons, Raven, melancholy, old Elf back story, pathos.

He should try to outdo himself in our eyes with the Raven Backstory.
