Perhaps the future income from the TV Series has help focus and motivate him

Ooh, good news. I'd half forgotten that he was writing another book in my excitement about the upcoming TV series. Roll on 17 April. And 12 July!

I have already reread the books once to refresh myself for the last release date - and it was so long ago I have forgotten some of the detail again.
I will be waiting until it hits the bookstores before I do it again this time!
But yeah - roll on April 17th and 12th July!!!

I'm already ensconced in front of the TV and have claimed it for the night!

my wife is not impressed with me either.
I now own the TV on Mondays from 8pm (Stargate Universe) until 11.10 (Spartacus).
She was even less impressed with the amount of T&A on graphic display in the latter 2 shows Embarassed

Ha ha! There was quite a bit, wasn't there? HBO have certainly produced a series that closely follows the books. It will be interesting to see how they deal with some of the darker moments in the book - probably quite gruesomely I think!

My dance school doesn't do competitions and only performances, are we missing out on alot? I have a few friends that do dancing outside of school and their dance schools do competitions against other ones nearly every week. I am a dancer also (jazz and contemporary) and do classes every week and do 2 concerts a year (about 4 of our dances performed in each) but no compeitions. I feel like I'm missing out on alot, since I know others do competitions.

Is it sacrilege to admit I was a little underwhelmed by it?
I didn't make much of a connection with some of the characters and got bored by much of the Daenerys stuff until much much later.

I admit I didn't find it that amazing either...so much just seemed just like page-filling (long lists of names esp. in the Jon and Dany-chapters, basically a whole chapter where Jon is just counting food), the Tyrion-POV didn't seem to go anywhere and I also found that the Quentin-POV somewhat unneccessary (the story could as well have been told just by Dany and Ser Barristan)
