As I type this, there are 77 days until the World Cup. So, what do people think? Spain to win for me, possibly against Brazil; England to collapse by the quarter-finals at best; Messi (hopefully) to be brilliant to watch; refereeing to be talked about more than the games?!

Are people going to be watching? I'm looking forward to watching as many games as possible, and creating a Max-shaped indent in my sofa!

Picked Spain. If they can keep some key players fit (Torres, Villa etc) then I can't see many teams being able to stand up to them.

Brazil still seem too dodgy on the defensive side IMO.

Its hard to look past Spain to be honest, but Italy and Germany will no doubt come well prepared despite little hype this time.
My heart says England but my wallet ( if I was a betting man) says Spain, Ive ticked Italy though as i like an outside bet.

I'm not sure Brazil are any dodgier that England (Terry - OMG), Italy, Spain etc, but they are ultra-organised. I'd fancy Xavi, Iniesta et al to unpick it, but not many others. Lucio is a top, top defender.

For me, to vote for any other that England is a betrayal of belief. And it is only belief that makes me turn up time and again to watch them.

Come on Ing-er-land

Spain are very good, mind you. And never, never write off the Germans. Or the Brazilians.

I cannot wait for it all to kick off.
